The President of Iniciativa Educação, Nuno Crato, was distinguished by the President of the Republic of Portugal with the Grand Cross of the Public Instruction Order, the highest rank in the Order.
In his speech, President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa highlighted three of Nuno Crato's important fields of action: his scientific and academic path, specifically as a Professor and Researcher at ISEG; his public service as Minister of Education and Science; and his continuous work on behalf of Education, to which he remains fully committed.
Nuno Crato had already been distinguished with the Grand Cross of the Order of Infante D. Henrique, in 2016 - the highest distinction awarded to a national citizen by this Order.
